Progetto Miss BISS

All’inizio di settembre abbiamo appreso con soddisfazione che il nostro progetto di partenariato scolastico Comenius dal titolo MISS B.I.S.S. (Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Sweden) TO THE RESQUE OF PLANET EARTH, presentato alla scadenza del 15 febbraio 2008, è stato autorizzato dall’agenzia europea. Anche le altre scuole coinvolte hanno avuto l’approvazione, a parte la scuola bulgara che non ha avuto il finanziamento da parte della sua agenzia nazionale. Tuttavia la coordinatrice bulgara ha fatto sapere che la sua istituzione intende comunque prendere parte a tutte le attività che non richiedono fondi per essere realizzate.
Il primo meeting avrà luogo a Carbonera dal 22 al 28 ottobre ‘08, in cui una delegazione di insegnanti svedesi e una di insegnanti spagnoli verranno presso la nostra scuola e insieme ai nostri docenti progetteranno in modo più dettagliato il lavoro da svolgere nel corso di questo anno scolastico.

At the beginning of September we were very pleased to know that our project called MISS B.I.S.S. (Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Sweden) TO THE RESQUE OF PLANET EARTH has been approved by the European Agency. All school will receive the scholarship except the Bulgarian one. Nevertheless the Bulgarian coordinator has declared that her institution will take part to all activities which don’t need money to be done.
The Istituto Comprensivo of Carbonera is organizing a meeting from October 22nd till October 28th at school: a group of teachers from Sweden and another one from Spain will come to Italy to plan more detailed activities for this school year with Italian teachers.

La scuola bulgara è una scuola privata relativamente piccola e si trova vicino a una montagna in un quartiere periferico della capitale – Sofia. Nell’istituto ci sono anche alcuni bambini diversamente abili. La nostra zona di residenza è interessante per il grande contrasto che c’è tra l’ambiente naturale (il monte Vitosha con i suoi piccoli fiumi e laghi) e la più popolosa e inquinata città della Bulgaria – Sofia. Questo progetto ci aiuterà nel promuovere una maggiore consapevolezza sui temi ambientali tra gli alunni e le loro famiglie.
“Pensare in VERDE” non è ancora molto diffuso nel nostro paese per cui questo progetto rappresenterà un passo avanti per la nostra scuola così come la comunità locale. La possibilità di scambiare idee, buone pratiche ed esperienze didattiche con le altre scuole partner sarà di grande importanza per incrementare la motivazione e lo sviluppo del corpo insegnante e dei nostri alunni. Usare l’inglese come lingua veicolare del progetto rappresenterà una sfida e un’opportunità la necessità di imparare le lingue straniere come strumento per comunicare.

The Bulgarian coordinator: “The Bulgarian school is a relatively small private school located near a mountain in a remote district of the capital city - Sophia. In the institution there are few pupils with special needs. The area is interesting with a great contrast between the natural habitat (the Vitosha Mountain with its small rivers and lakes) and the most populated and polluted town in Bulgaria – Sophia. This project will help us in promoting awareness on environmental issues among our pupils and families.
“Thinking GREEN” is still not very popular in our country so the project will be a step forward for our school and the local community as well. The chance to exchange ideas good practices and experience with the other partner school will be of great importance to the motivation and development of our teaching staff and pupils. Using English as main project language will be a challenge and opportunity to understand the need of learning foreign languages as means of communication.”

L’istituto italiano si trova in un'area rurale di una regione molto industrializzata. Nella nostra scuola ci sono alcuni alunni diversamente abili e un gruppo di alunni stranieri perlopiù appartenenti a famiglie di immigrati nella percentuale del 12%.
Pensiamo che il partenariato rappresenti l’occasione di scambiarci buone pratiche didattiche; uno scambio di informazioni sull’idea di scuola per capire quale ruolo ha la scuola nella società di ciascun paese partner; vorremmo condividere idee ed esperienze riguardo a un problema comune a tutti quale è il degrado ambientale.

The Italian Coordinator: “The Italian school is located in an agricultural area of a very industrialized region. In the institution there are a few pupils with special needs and a percentage of 12% of foreign students belonging to migrants families.
From this partnership we aspect to exchange good teaching practices; an exchange of point of views about the idea of school in order to understand which position has school in the society of each country involved; we would like to share ideas about a common problem such as the environmental degradation.”

La scuola spagnola è un’associazione di 8 scuole rurali con 2 o 4 classi ciascuna. Nella nostra scuola abbiamo due alunni diversamente abili e altri che sono seguiti per l’apprendimento linguistico. Ci sono anche alcuni alunni stranieri provenienti da famiglie di immigrati (UK, Russia, Romania,…).
Durante quest’anno scolastico (2007/08) stiamo lavorando sul tema del risparmio idrico, per cui pensiamo che questo nuovo progetto è molto interessante perché attraverso di esso possiamo aiutare a incrementare la consapevolezza delle famiglie e dei cittadini. Si tratta di una “piccola goccia” ma è doveroso fare la nostra parte .Vogliamo condividere le nostre idee e attività con scuole straniere. Lo scambio ci aiuta a motivare gli alunni e gli insegnanti a studiare le lingue straniere e incrementare le conoscenze sulla cultura degli altri paesi.

The Spanish Coordinator: “The Spanish School is an association of eight rural schools with two or four classes each one. We have two children with hard special needs, but there are some that receive language support. There are some children from migrants (UK, Russia, Romania,...).
This school year we are working on saving water, so we think this new project is very interesting because we can help to raise the awareness of families and citizens. It’s “a little drop” but we have to do it. We want to share our ideas and activities with foreign schools. This exchange helps us to motivate children and teachers to study foreign languages and learn about their cultures.”

La scuola svedese è una delle tante scuole private dell’area geografica. Lund è una antica e famosa città universitaria. Molti alunni provengono dalle comunità circostanti e molti da famiglie accademiche di Lund stessa. Abbiamo una rappresentazione sociale molto varia alla nostra scuola.
Lavoriamo seguendo una metodologia pedagogica ispirata a Freinet e cerchiamo di portare l’attività di insegnamento il più possibile fuori della scuola, nella natura o in qualche luogo intorno alla scuola. Ci sforziamo di concepire l’insegnamento in un contesto internazionale e di lavorare per realizzare la democrazia a scuola.

The Swedish school is one of many private schools in the area. Lund is the community with the most private schools in Sweden. Lund is a very old and well known university town. Many pupils come from surrounding communities and many come from academic families in Lund itself. We have a very mixed social representation at our school.
We work with Freinet pedagogics and try to place our teaching as much as we can outside school, in the nature or in the surroundings elsewhere. We strive to see our teaching in an international context and to work for a democracy at school.
